Ben is a 20+ year-old quarter horse gelding.  He came from a ranch in Alabama.  The ranch was being sold and no one wanted him.  He was gifted to the Corkum’s where they found him a home.  After years at his new home, they decided he was not a perfect fit, so we offered to take him back.  After rehabilitation and community work with the County Sheriff’s office he is now retired.  He has issues with his hocks and swelling in back legs.  His annual costs average $3,900 per year.

SADIE

Sadie is a 20+ year old quarter horse/warmblood mare.  She was gifted to the Corkum’s from a friend who not able to utilize her. She suffers from a severe case of separation anxiety from the other horses when left alone.   She has a special bond with my daughter who is now showing her.  Our daughter has decided to have her participate in our program so she can share her interaction with people as well as getting groomed and petted.   We do not ask that she be sponsored.  We offer her to the ranch for free.
